Family Matters Education, owned by Geri Clouse, provides parenting support for organizations and individuals seeking to improve family relationships. Our quality educational sessions and workshops address the needs and concerns of growing, changing families. Through the sharing of insightful information and personal experience, this educational service is a source of vital information for parents, couples and children that can be used at every stage of a family’s life. 

Family Matters initiatives are designed to:
  • Improve the lives of families and children by providing them with knowledge, strategies and skills that can lead to more open and effective communication. 
  • Support families by first, recognizing their existing healthy patterns, and then building on those patterns by introducing new ways of living, playing and working together.
  • Enhance the quality of the parent-child relationship through a process that not only instructs parents on how to identify and deal with their children’s difficult feelings, but also teaches them respectful methods of discipline.  Throughout this process, parents become increasingly aware of child development and the importance of having age appropriate expectations.
  • Provide options, solutions and practical techniques to help parents raise responsible, resilient, compassionate children. 
  • Encourage parents to make changes that ultimately can lead to nurturing, secure, lifelong relationships with their children.
  • Reveal the power and satisfaction that can come from making small changes to everyday life, changes that can bring greater emotional freedom, a calmer family life, and give the job of raising children a significant dose of fun and joy. 

Participants gain knowledge and confidence by working in small groups, sharing ideas and supporting each other.  They come away from the group sessions more aware of the complexities and challenges of interacting with children, and equipped with the skills to overcome those challenges.
